Daniel Craig’s final foray into danger as James Bond only hit cinemas in 2021, but it already feels like a classic 007 adventure. On top of including one of the biggest changes to Bond, James Bond in history (no spoilers here…) No Time To Die also marked the end of the most successful Bond actor’s journey to date, having earned billions with his tuxedo and martinis shaken, not stirred.

If you’re a James Bond fan, but don’t fancy diving into a full raucous adventure, The Sound of 007 might be the thing for you. This documentary combs through the extensive, six-decade history of the music behind James Bond. From contemporaries such as Adele and Billie Eilish to music legends Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey and Madonna; the documentary dives into everything. It even explores the history behind the iconic 007 theme song that has become synonymous with the series.

If your ears pricked up at the mention of The Beatles, I have some good news for you: A Hard Day’s Night is available to watch for free on Prime Video. As the Fab Four’s first feature-length film, A Hard Day’s Night is one of the band’s best-known, and for good reason. The Richard Lester-directed comedy follows McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison running around London while preparing for a live show.

Perhaps critically acclaimed films are more your thing? If so, look no further than Everything Everywhere All At Once. The Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert-directed picture won big at the Oscars this year, taking home not only the Best Picture gong, but also Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress and Best Film Editing. The picture itself follows Evelyn Quan Wang (Michelle Yeoh) struggling with her day-to-day life as a laundromat owner, before the fabric of time, space, reality and the multiverse open up to launch her on a mission that will decide the fate of her future.

Kristen Stewart takes on the role of Princess Diana in this grounded picture from Pablo Larrain. The surreal take on the life and times of King Charles’s ex-wife during their split earned critical acclaim and even saw Stewart grab a Best Actress nomination at 2022’s Oscars.

Long before Peter Parker ripped open the multiverse and dragged some previous Spider-Man heroes into his realm, he was having trouble on a school trip. Far From Home shows Tom Holland and Zendaya journeying around Europe while working alongside Mysterio to fight giant elementals. Marvel’s penultimate movie in the Spider-Man trilogy introduced the web-head to even bigger problems – like leading a double life. 

John Wick Chapter 4 has just hit cinemas, but if you need to catch up with that Keanu Reeves has been doing before that, Prime Video is your place. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum follows directly on from John Wick 2, and shows the unlikely hero(?) fighting his way through New York as every assassin in the city is trying to kill him. To make matters worse, there’s a plentiful bounty on his head. Will he make it out in one piece?

Comedy is the name of the game with Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, the sequel to the first Borat movie. Sacha Baron Cohen reprises his role as the titular character, journeying through the USA and dropping meta-comedy with a straight face. Certainly not for the faint of heart, if you cannot handle cringe-worthy humour.

The remake/sequel to the 1992 film of the same name, Candyman ventures back to the Cabrini Green neighbourhood where the legend of the mystical serial killer began. In this story, however, a young artist learns of the historic horrors of Candyman and his kills, before becoming obsessed with it. If blood and bugs are your things, Candyman 2021 is the perfect Friday night spook ’em.

In a hard right turn… Paddington 2 is available on Prime Video. Not only is this sequel a beloved story starring Ben Wishaw, Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins, but it is also perhaps one of the most entertaining films to have come out in the last decade. Paddington 2 is fun for all the family and is here in the perfect time for the school Easter break.

The first and second rules of Fight Club are: don’t talk about Fight Club. With that said, this is a classic Brat Pitt and Edward Norton mind-bender, based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel of the same name. If you haven’t seen Fight Club before, the less said about it, the better. If you’re well-versed in the world of Tyler Durden and Project Mayhem, enjoy revisiting one of the greatest films ever made.

Zoolander is Ben Stiller at his best. Not only is the picture one of the most creative and hilarious pictures he has ever released, but it’s also completely memorable. And it has a star-studded cast, with Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Alexander Skarsgård, Jennifer Coolidge and Vince Vaughn making appearances, as well.

If gore, horror, haunted animatronics, Nicolas Cage and classic B-movie pulp interest you, Willy’s Wonderland is the perfect movie. A mute, unnamed janitor breaks down beside an old haunted family entertainment centre and agrees to clean it up for cash. Instead, he’s pitted in a fight for his life as horrific animatronic creatures come to life and hunt him down in the sadistically creepy playhouse.
