Prince George, nine, wore a “Boy’s tie with shovel and polka dot print” from the Spanish brand El Corte Inglés at the Coronation concert on Sunday evening. The tie sells for £20 and the young Prince looked incredibly smart.
However, many fans were stunned that a nine-year-old boy wore a suit and tie to a pop concert.
Twitter user @jan_dyer said: “Is it really necessary for Prince George to be trussed up in collar and tie – poor kid.”
In addition, @julianr_76 added: “Also Prince George is nine and at a pop concert.
“Let the poor kid just wear a t-shirt, not the full blazer and tie.”

Similarly, @StarkeyBarbara commented: “Why does Prince George already look like a ‘little old man’? He’s nine.”
The tie was a re-wear for the Prince, as he previously wore the accessory at Christmas in Sandringham back in 2022.
George paired his tie with a navy children’s suit and a crisp white shirt.
His younger sister Princess Charlotte looked very cute in a Self Portrait Kids ivory scallop collar chiffon dress that costs £210.
In addition, @luxmeagainpreloved wrote: “This is such a pretty outfit. Charlotte has a lifetime of pretty clothes and fun events ahead of her.”
Royal fan @seugnet777 commented: “Such a cute dress for Charlotte! Very appropriate for the event and so pretty.”
Another fan, @pfromzh added: “Very pretty, a lovely outfit!”
Finally, @papouellishoes, who designed Charlotte’s shoes for the Coronation, said: “Another lovely outfit choice for Princess Charlotte.”
