The reconciliation plea made by the Duchess of Sussex’s father in his recent tell-all interview contained several questionable elements, an expert has claimed.
Meghan Markle’s estranged family aired a bombshell interview just days before the Coronation, where they opened up about their past with Meghan.
Thomas Markle Sr, who was joined by his son Tom Jr and daughter Samantha for the 7News exclusive, made several bold allegations, some of which stood out to behavioural experts.
Body Language expert Spidey, known as ‘The Behavioral Arts’ on YouTube, spotted a couple of details about Thomas Markle Sr that suggest the father may be selling a narrative rather than an emotional plea.
The expert first drew attention to a passage of the interview, where Thomas Markle Sr is heard saying: “Harry; nice guy. I love you for marrying my daughter. Meg, I love you.”

“We know you don’t love Harry,” pointed out Spidey. “He said some mean things about you, you guys […] have said some mean things about them.
Elsewhere in the spotlight interview, Meghan’s father said: “I love my grandchildren and I’m open to any kind of conversation, thank you.”
The body language expert said: “This feels like a sales pitch. But a desperate father pleading to his daughter to talk to him again could also feel like a sales pitch.”
The expert calls out several “bizarre” elements about Thomas’ comment, starting with the fact he closed it with the expression “thank you”.
“Why is saying thank you?” the expert asked rhetorically. “[…] Is that part of what he would say to Meghan? Is he saying thank you to the interviewer? Is he saying thank you to us? It kind of felt out of place.”
The Duchess of Sussex and her dad reportedly became estranged in 2018, days before her marriage to Prince Harry, after Thomas staged paparazzi photos with the press and reportedly lied to Meghan about it.
Thomas later expressed regret over the incident, yet Meghan is said to have cut all ties with her father after the royal wedding, which he reportedly did not attend due to health issues.
The Duchess has remained discrete about the incident but disclosed some details about the family feud in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
