S Club 7 fans were only just starting to celebrate the news that their idols were going on a major UK arena tour.
Then, last month, the shock news broke that member Paul Cattermole had been found dead at his Dorset home, just hours after being photographed walking and smiling in the countryside.
The band announced they would go ahead with the tour in his memory.
But over the weekend, there was another devastating piece of news, as the band members made a special video to inform fans of another loss.

The band name has also been changed on their social profiles. S Club 7 would clearly have been too painful for fans and the members themselves, but it has not been reduced to S Club 6, but rather just S Club.
This follows the announcement that Hannah Spearritt will not now be taking part in the upcoming tour – and the wording casts doubt over whether she will ever rejoin the band.
The band broke down as they relayed the news and paid tribute to their “big brother” Paul once more, before Jon said: “You’ve probably noticed that there are only five of us here today…”

He added: “Although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour. We wish her all the best for the future. However the five us are excited to crack on with the tour. It’s going to be our tribute to Paul.”
Hannah and Paul had dated during the band’s heyday and she called him “her first love.” They had also briefly reunited in 2015 and when the news of Paul’s loss was announced, Hannah had revealed how excited he had been about getting back together with the band for the tour.
The remaining five members spoke from the heart about Paul in the new video, with Bradley saying, “he lives on inside in each and every one of us.”
Jon became tearful and was unable to continue as he said: “We have been in a bit of shock, and it has taken a while for us to find the right words to describe how we feel about losing our brother Paul.”
Rachel and Hannah both spoke of how hard it was to process the loss while Jo added: “Whenever Paul would walk into the room, you definitely knew that he was there because he would just light it up with humour and love – just a really special person.”
