Brian May praises ‘astounding’ 11-year-old guitarist playing Back to the Future | Music | Entertainment

The Queen legend was blown away by 11-year-old Harry Churchill after his Britain’s Got Talent audition last month.

The child guitarist wowed Simon Cowell and the judges who sent the schoolboy through to the live semi-finals after his impressive medley of Queen songs including Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You.

In the next round last night, the rising star performed the Back to the Future theme to introduce his epic set.

Dressed as Michael J Fox’s Marty McFly, he then flew into Johnny B Goode complete with Chuck Berry duck walk, paying tribute to the classic scene featured in the time travel adventure.

After playing through other famous guitar solos including AC/DC’s Back in Black, Harry lost out on a place in the final, but his biggest fan Sir Brian May reassured him: “It is NOT over, This is just the beginning.”

Posting Harry’s set, Brian wrote on his Instagram: “Please SWIPE ! And pause to appreciate —— our man !!! Harry-be-Goode !!!! This guy, folks, is ELEVEN years old and has marched through the harrowing process of @bgt with astounding courage, professionalism, and dignity.

“Just to watch his vastly generous response to the guy who was chosen to go through to the final rather than him says it all to me.”

Sir Brian added: “(SWIPE !!!) This young man is all class. Respects, Harry. And be sure – it is NOT over.

“This is just the beginning. You have all the time in the world. BELIEVE !!! Totally well done Buddy. @harrysguitartime And congratulations to Travis George ! Bri.”
