Princess Kate absolutely ‘stunning’ at Rugby World Cup wearing £1,500 diamond necklace | Royal | News

Kate, Princess of Wales, who is Patron of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, was delighted as England won the first game in the Rugby World Cup.

For her solo outing at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, France, the royal opted for an elegant white suit. She wore her Alexander McQueen two-piece suit, which she combined with white pumps and a chic Massimo Dutti clutch.

The trousers and blazer are from McQueen’s Resort 2020 collection and are currently sold out but Zara has very similar, and more affordable, white suits, as well as John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.

For jewellery, Kate opted for her diamond earrings and necklace from designer Mappin & Webb, which currently retail for £1,500.

The Mappin & Webb Empress 18ct White Gold 0.40cttw Diamond Pendant is a delicate diamond necklace that comes with matching earrings, the Empress 18ct White Gold 0.17cttw Diamond Drop Earrings, with a price tag of £1,750.

The royal’s stylish clutch bag was the Woven Leather Clutch-Style Handbag in White from Spanish fashion brand Massimo Dutti.

Kate was seated next to World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont and after the match, she met the team in their locker room to congratulate them.

Royal fans took to social media to praise her style with many saying the Princess looked absolutely “stunning”. Instagram user @andie3bys commented: “She looks gorgeous! Hair and she is just glowing!”

Another one, @ki.rby7795, said: “Fabulous! Princess of Wales always looks phenomenal. She is incredibly athletic… She is perfect to represent Britain!”

On Instagram, @catherine_princess.of.wales opined: “She is so beautiful in white,” and @veronicafitzgerald08 added: “Beautiful and so demure with impeccable manners.”

Earlier that day, Kate appeared on Mike Tindall’s Rugby podcast alongside Prince William and Princess Anne.
