Nation’s favourite driving song revealed | Music | Entertainment

The appropriately named 1979 hit sung by Freddie Mercury – whose title perhaps hints about traffic light frustration – was chosen by 39% of drivers quizzed.

It topped Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi (33%) and Dancing Queen by ABBA (29%).

Ironically The Proclaimers’ ode to walking I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) comes fourth with 28% preferring it.

And in-car rows about which route to take are reflected in Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way, which was backed by a quarter of drivers.

Nine in ten confessed they love belting out favourites while alone in the car.
