Christopher Nolan speaks out on directing next James Bond rumours | Films | Entertainment

Deadline asked Nolan at Universal’s Golden Globes after party how the director celebrated his Best Director win that evening: with champagne or Earl Grey tea? The 53-year-old replied: “Neither, sparkling water.”

He was then asked about those being in talks to direct Bond 26 rumours and the reply was simply: “Bollocks. Pure bollocks.”

The filmmaker also previously told Associated Press: “No, sadly no truth to those rumours.”

However, with Bond entering the public domain in 2035, he’d be free to adapt Fleming’s novels without EON Productions, but he’d have to do it without the iconic barrel roll and theme tune.
