Where is Lily Gladstone from?

Gladstone is of Siksikaitsitapi and NiMíiPuu descent, according to Vulture. Her father is Blackfeet and Nez Perce, and her mother is white. Until age 11, she lived on the reservation for the Blackfeet Nation in Browning, Montana.

They eventually moved due to the lack of economic opportunities in Browning. Gladstone said in 2014 the town has a reputation for crime and poverty, but they consider it their community.

“At the foundation of my life, there is community and family. There is poverty, violence, substance abuse, and unemployment everywhere. But there is so much love in that community. What unites people there is a love of family, a love of land.”
