Zara Tindall dazzles in £250 dress to attend Royal Family pre-Christmas lunch in Windsor

Zara Tindall, 41, was photographed with her husband Mike, 44, and their three children attending the Royal Family pre-Christmas lunch today at Windsor Castle. The daughter of Princess Anne wore a gorgeous printed dress for the occasion.

Zara wore a printed Me + Em fit flare neck-tie dress today for the royal pre-Christmas lunch.

The “Delicate Geo Fit + Flare Short Dress + Tie” as it is called is a printed satin-back crepe dress.

The black, topaz blue and chalk dress retails for a whopping £250, and looked gorgeous on Zara.

The description says: “Comfortable, contemporary, and crease free, this fit-and-flare dress heroes our bespoke Delicate Geo print celebrating bright topaz detailing set against a black backdrop to shore up your work-to-weekend wardrobe.”

Quite a short dress, this gown features plenty of pockets, elasticated cuffs as well as elasticated waist detailing.

This dress has not been seen on the mother of three before, making it a new purchase for Zara.

She appeared to wear a black jacket over the dress, which would have suited the multicoloured dress due to its block monochrome colour.

Mike Tindall’s wife tied her blonde hair into a tight bun, and likely wore tights and boots due to the cold weather currently in Windsor.

Camilla, the Queen Consort, in a blue patterned dress, smiled at photographers as she arrived just behind him.

The private lunch marks the biggest family reunion since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September.

Around 50 members of the extended family were expected to attend the festive event, the first to take place for three years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

They included Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children, as well as Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Sophie Wessex, Prince Edward and all of their various children.

At the festivities, royal guests are seated at tables of 10, with the royal children eating in a separate room, Mike Tindall shared in 2019.

The former rugby player, who is married to the King’s niece, Zara, told the House of Rugby podcast: “There must be about 70 of us there – there are seven tables and the kiddies have their own little one in a different room. I was on Prince Charles’s table. It was lovely, really good.”

The lunch traditionally gave the late Queen a chance to catch up with members of her family who do not travel to Sandringham for Christmas, including her cousins, the Gloucesters, the Duke of Kent and the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

She would always travel to Sandringham by train the following day, opting to remain there until February 6, the anniversary of her accession to the throne.
