Last month, AC/DC performed their first live show in seven years at Power Trip Festival in Indio, California.
Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Cliff Williams and Stevie Young were joined by Matt Laung stepping in for Rudd on drums.
The iconic rock band performed a 24 song set with live debuts of tracks ike Demon Fire and Shot in the Dark from their latest album Power Up.
A source previously told Daily Star: “For a while it looked like an AC/DC would never play live again. Technology has helped Brian [who had to step back from live concerts due to hearing problems] get back to doing what he loves best. More dates are being looked at for next year, some big shows.”
And after a leak, it sounds like AC/DC are planning a 2024 European tour.
Spotted by Planet Rock, the mayor Munich Dieter Reiter said that AC/DC will be performing a concert in the city’s Olympiastadion on June 12, 2024.
Reportedly let slip at a council meeting, he told Bayerischer Rundfunk reporter Mathias Flasskamp afterwards: “I didn’t know it was supposed to be a secret.”
Assuming this leak is accurate, the German show will be the first for AC/DC since Dusseldorf in 2016, with Axl Rose on vocals. Meanwhile, Johnson hasn’t performed in Europe since 2015.
Fingers crossed this means that a 2024 European tour announcement is just around the corner.
