The Hollywood Vampires, Johnny Depp’s band with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, have been touring the UK and Europe this summer.
Just last Sunday evening Express.co.uk witnesses the group rock the O2 with a surprise appearance from The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood.
A close friend of the late Jeff Beck, he joined the Pirates star on stage for a special tribute to the guitarist who died earlier this year.
Yet this wasn’t the only surprise cameo by a classic rock legend planned on the tour.
Last night at the Hollywood Vampires’ concert at Utilita Arena Birmingham, Depp and the gang invited on a Black Sabbath star.
Rock fans will know all too well that Black Sabbath grew up and started off their music careers in Birmingham.
In fact, they performed their final ever show after 50 years together at Genting Arena in their native city on February 4, 2017.
Joining Depp on stage to perform the band’s signature Paranoid with Cooper on Ozzy’s vocals was Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi.
The Hollywood Vampires posted behind-the-scenes photos with the Black Sabbath legend on their Instagram, captioning the post: “Thank you @tonyiommi and the great fans in Birmingham!!!!”
On his own account, the guitarist did the same and wrote: “Last night I had the honour of playing Paranoid in Birmingham with the amazing @hollywoodvampires! Can’t remember the last time I played with another band, such a special day.”
Iommi also famously performed Paranoid with Ozzy Osbourne in a brief reunion at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Hollywood Vampires conclude their UK tour tonight in Glasgow before heading off to Europe and tickets can be booked here.
