Brigitte Macron chose a flattering blue dress which she wore with a matching coat with gold details.
The French President’s wife combined the stylish look with a pair of black stilettos and a black clutch bag.
Queen Maxima opted for a mustard ensemble, matching pumps, a blue and mustard dress underneath and a matching hat.
After their arrival at Amsterdam airport, Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte met the Dutch royals outside the Palace where a military band was playing.

During their official visit, the couple will lay a wreath at the national monument in the city centre and meet with leaders in The Hague later today.
The French President is set the deliver a speech there and in the evening, the couple will attend a banquet at the Royal Palace.
Emmanuel Macron and his wife will also visit a science park in Amsterdam and attend an exhibition of paintings by Dutch Master Johannes Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum later this week.

Brigitte Macron is admired by many for her impeccable style and is considered a fashion icon since becoming the Frech First Lady.
French designer Lola Rykiel said people love her style because it looks like she hasn’t tried too hard, which according to her, is what Parisian style is all about.
She explained: “It’s the unspoken rule. Never look like you’ve spent hours staring at yourself in the mirror, even if that’s exactly what you’ve been doing.

“It’s about casually pulling together a subtle but amazing outfit – and it’s this that foreigners are fascinated by.
“But perhaps also sometimes get wrong when they’re trying to look stereotypically French.”
Brigitte Macron, who used to be a high school teacher before marrying the French president, once said: “I always put a lot of effort into the way I present myself: just ask my children or my students.”
She also admitted that she is “really into fashion” and “there is this fascination the world over with what French women wear”.
Brigitte met Emmanuel Macron when she was her high school teacher at the age of 40 and when he was just 15.
However, they didn’t get married until 2007 after she divorced in 2006. In an interview with the magazine Madame Figaro, she said: “I have learned not to speak openly to anyone, anywhere and anytime, which took a huge effort from me because I speak easily.
“The French did not want me [as opposed to her husband, whom they elected], I am perfectly aware of that.”
Heads of state and politicians from all over the world have been invited to King Charles’s Coronation on May 6 so it is likely Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron will travel to the UK to attend the royal event.
