Chris Pratt ‘doesn’t like’ integral part of Guardians of the Galaxy | Films | Entertainment

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is just around the corner, but Chris Pratt is still hung up on a detail from his first Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy. The American star recently appeared on BBC’s The One Show to discuss the upcoming Super Mario Bros movie, but he was greeted by music from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Pratt explained: “In my mind, I was thinking: ‘This is the one album this guy has listened to since he was ten. I want to know these songs inside and out.'”

As a result, Pratt listened to the Awesome Mix for “six months” – likely without deviating from the soundtrack during production.

“I must have heard each of those songs several hundred times,” he groaned. “And so, uh, yeah, I don’t like any of them anymore.”

Things were no doubt made worse by the second film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, which introduced the Awesome Mix Vol 2.

The upcoming threequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, will likely introduce another batch of songs into Peter Quill’s universe.

However, these tracks could be even more emotional than before, as this third movie is set to be the last for the galactic defenders.

Drax star Dave Bautista recently opened up that the cast and crew were left “in tears” while shooting the final movie in the franchise.

He said: “There were days when we talked about [the end] on set. We took pictures, and we made videos. I remember shooting the last scene that we were all going to shoot together. It wasn’t the last day. It wasn’t even close to the last day. But it was the last time that the original version of the Guardians of the Galaxy were on set together.”

Bautista added: “We were all in tears. So I’m sure there’s more of that to come.”

The former wrestler said the end of the film franchise was “bittersweet”.

He explained: “I’m leaving behind people that I’ve been on this journey with for ten years. And they’re family to me now. And I love them dearly.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 hits cinemas on May 5.

The Super Mario Bros movie comes out on April 5.
