Crocs fans baffled by new cowboy boots line and ‘lose faith in humanity’

Crocs, the beloved shoe brand known for its unique take on comfort, has just unveiled a new addition to its lineup: the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot.

In a bold move to combine country music style with the comfort and self-expression that Crocs enthusiasts cherish, the company has unleashed this innovative design, but not everyone is convinced of its appeal.

To commemorate “Croctober,” the company decided to grant its dedicated fans’ long-standing wish for a Crocs-inspired cowboy boot.

A Crocs spokesperson said: “This starts today, with the reveal of one of the most widely requested Crocs shoe designs in brand history – the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot! For years, the buzz around a Crocs-inspired cowboy boot has been building, creating a genuine fan-fueled movement trending across social media.”

The Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot boasts a high-shine, croc-embossed texture and striking western-inspired stitching, captivating the essence of cowboy boots.

These stylish and comfortable boots will be available for purchase on October 23, a date now recognized by the company as “Croc Day.” The price is currently set at $120 – or roughly £100.

What sets the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot apart are the unique metallic Jibbitz charms adorning them. In a first-of-its-kind move, the boots feature a spin-able spur charm attached to the backstrap, giving a nod to traditional cowboy attire.

On the rivet detail, the iconic black and white Crocs logo of Duke, the brand’s beloved crocodile mascot, sports a cowboy hat, giving a playful twist to the design.

Heidi Cooley, Chief Marketing Officer at Crocs, said: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Croctober – a time to celebrate the most imaginative fans in the world, and this year is no exception. Croc Day was born by our fans, so we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate them than by bringing their ideas to life not just for one day, but all month long. At Crocs, we stan our fans!”

This unique footwear offering has garnered mixed reactions from Croc enthusiasts.

One Twitter user, @IRobBMar, commented: “I just heard on the radio that crocs are going to make cowboy boots. Complete with spurs. Now, listen, I love boots, and I’ve been known to enjoy spurs, but NO. Just no!”

Another user tweeted: “I have no more faith in humanity.”

On the flip side, a different Twitter user, @sarahhhgoulding, expressed her enthusiasm, writing: “@Crocs is launching cowboy boots and I am STOKED. This is the type of good news we all need to wake up to.”

Whether it’s met with unbridled enthusiasm or skepticism, it’s clear that Crocs has once again succeeded in sparking a conversation within the world of fashion.
