On September 26, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, stepped out in Rome to pay her respects to Giorgio Napolitano.
The royal looked beautiful in a black cowl neck dress which was very feminine but perfect for the sombre occasion.
It was the Draped Cowl Neck Dress by Valentino, which Sophie has worn before. It does not currently appear to be retailed on the official Valentino website.
The dress was mid-length with a slightly flared skirt and nipped in waist. This highlighted the royal’s slim figure.
Royal fashion blog UFO No More said of the dress: “Italian fashion house Valentino turned to the world of ballet to inform and inspire its AW16 collection.
