Elvis Presley ‘killed himself’ over guilt about ‘teenage girl’ obsession | Music | Entertainment

Elvis Presley was found dead in the bathroom of his home, Graceland, on August 16, 1977.

The cause of death was deemed to be cardiac arrest, following years of prescription drug abuse and general bad health – including eating nothing but cheeseburgers.

However, a new explosive three-part documentary has a different story to tell.

The Amazon doc, titled Elvis’ Women, shows the King of Rock and Roll’s stepbrother claiming the Blue Suede Shoes singer actually planned his death.

David Stanley explained Elvis “just couldn’t carry on” with the guilt he felt. He also feared being exposed in a book.

The Mirror reports David saying: “His taste for young girls, aged 15 or 16, made me sick. I told him that it’s a miracle he didn’t get busted.”

He went on: “He got away with things most people didn’t, because of his money, fortune, fame and power, charisma and magnetism. Elvis could talk the socks off you.”

On the star’s death, he confirmed: “He premeditated taking the medications that killed him. Love, hurt, pain, exposure — he just couldn’t take it any more.”

David also said that Elvis had joked about his taste in young women.

Elvis’ apparent favourite one-liner was: “14 will get you 20!”

This was referring to if he had been caught having sex with a 14-year-old he would get 20 years in prison.

Elvis first met his wife, Priscilla Presley (Beaulieu at the time) when she was just 14-years-old. At the time, he was 24-years-old and was stationed in Friedberg, Germany, with the US Army.

In the following years Elvis flew Priscilla over to the USA so she could live with him at Graceland.

After almost ten years together, Elvis and Priscilla married on May 1, 1967.

After Elvis and Priscilla divorced in 1973, he started a relationship with Linda Thompson, who was just 22-years-old at the time.
