Enjoy £4 films at UK cinemas this weekend – here’s how to claim

This weekend, Showcase Cinemas are offering £4 cinema tickets and half-price food and drink.

The special deal celebrates Showcase Cinemas second ever Insider Weekend, giving members of its Insider loyalty programme access to cheaper entertainment.

Jon Dixon, UK Marketing Director at Showcase Cinemas, said: “We’re delighted to announce our second Insider Weekend, with special offers to delight film fans nationwide.”

Insider membership is completely free to join and has no ongoing fees, which makes it an easy sign-up for discounted deals.

Members only need to scan their Insider card when ordering at the till to benefit from discounted foods, drinks, and cinema tickets.

Do note that people must be 15 years old, or older, to be eligible to become an Insider member.

Poor Things

Starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo and Willem Dafoe, the fantastical film revolves around Bella Baxter; a young woman brought back to life by an unorthodox scientist.

Emma Stone described Poor Things as a “very, very funny film”, which is based on the novel by Alasdair Gray.

One Life

A war drama, One Life tells the true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton who rescued 669 children from the Nazis on the eve of World War II.

Anthony Hopkins portrays Sir Nicholas Winton who struggles with guilt about the children he could not save, co-starring alongside Johnny Flynn, Jonathan Pryce, and Helena Bonham Carter.

An IMDb reviewer said the sensitive story was told with “care and competency” that brought tears when viewing.

The Beekeeper

In a change of gears, The Beekeeper is an action-packed movie starring Jason Statham.

Jason Statham is on a brutal campaign for vengeance after it is revealed he was a former operative of a powerful and secretive organisation.
