Tonight at 8pm the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final kicks off on BBC One. And although Mae Muller may not have the best chances of taking the crown home for the United Kingdom, she has some powerful support.
Muller has been doing the rounds in Liverpool to show off her national pride, and during one adventure this week she received a message from a former member of The Beatles.
In a video released by the BBC, the 25-year-old singer said: “My most surreal experience… I think Ringo Starr sending me a message is probably up there!”
The Eurovision star then showed off a video of the Fab Four’s drummer sending his best to her ahead of the competition this weekend.
The 82-year-old Beatle wished “Mae Muller a big peace and love” before sending her a touching message about the upcoming competition.

Whispering to the camera, Ringo smirked: “I hope you win! Peace and love.”
Squealing with joy, Mae yelped: “He sends me peace and love!” referencing his famous catchphrase.
Ringo and the rest of Britain are backing Mae to win Eurovision 2023 with her track I Wrote a Song.
Unfortunately for Mae (and the rest of the country) she is up against some powerful competition.
At the moment, Sweden is the frontrunner in the odds from Ladbrokes with the epic ballad Tattoo, performed by artist Loreen.
Sweden has a staggering 1/2 on winning the competition later tonight. Mae’s odds are, devastatingly, a lot worse.
Mae’s Eurovision entry currently has a meagre 40/1 odds on claiming the Eurovision title this year, leaving her neck-and-neck with Croatia.
Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “Mae Muller should look away now… her odds of finishing top of the Eurovision pile have taken a massive hit with just over 24 hours to go until the show gets underway.”
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Grand Final airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
