An ex-associate of Rudy Giuliani strongly refuted what he described as false claims by former President Donald Trump regarding the Biden family. Lev Parnas, a former colleague of Giuliani, made these remarks during a House Oversight Committee hearing in the GOP-led impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
Parnas accused Trump, Giuliani, and others of deceiving the American people for their own agendas, stating that the only information against the Bidens came from Russia and Russian agents. The House of Representatives launched the impeachment inquiry into Biden based on allegations that he misused his influence to benefit his son, Hunter Biden.
Despite Trump denying any involvement in Hunter Biden’s affairs, the White House criticized the GOP’s impeachment efforts as a waste of time. Parnas, who was convicted of fraud and campaign finance crimes, testified at the Democrats’ request, labeling the impeachment probe as a wild goose chase.
Some individuals, like Ron Filipkowski from the MeidasTouch website, used Parnas’ testimony to criticize the impeachment inquiry, while others, such as Greg Price from the State Freedom Caucus Network, questioned Parnas’ credibility.
The House Oversight Committee called on former business associates of Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis, to testify. While some are considering criminal referrals instead of impeachment articles, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan expressed uncertainty about the inquiry’s timeline and outcome.
Overall, the impeachment inquiry continues to be a contentious issue with varying opinions on the validity of the accusations against the Biden family.
