It was 32 years ago this past week that Freddie Mercury lost his battle with AIDS at just 45.
Queen guitarist Sir Brian May admitted he was lost for words on Instagram as the sad anniversary came to past.
The 76-year-old wrote: “Today’s a sad and quiet private day for me – I won’t be posting any more. Take care out there. Bri.”
Now Queen drummer Roger Taylor has also paid tribute by sharing a picture of himself holding a flower next to Freddie almost half a century ago.
The 74-year-old simply captioned the social media post: “Still miss my buddy.”
In the comments, fans expressed their love for Freddie and grief over his untimely death at such young age back in 1991.
One wrote: “Don’t make me cry today Roger”, while another said: “I’m not crying you are… :(.”
A fan shared, “It must be so hard for you” and one added: “I miss Fred, without even being born in his time.”
