Full list of Boots stores to close after the summer – is your local on the list?

Boots announced a total of 300 stores across the country will permanently close their doors by the end of the year, including its Holywell site in Flintshire, Wales, closing on Saturday, August 26.

This is part of the retailer’s plan to reduce its stores from 2,200 to 1,900 which bosses believe will help “consolidate the business”.

The closures don’t necessarily mean a loss of jobs for workers as the company is reportedly offering alternative roles to all affected employees.

A spokesperson for Boots explained: “We can confirm that the stores listed are part of the Boots store consolidation programme previously announced.

“All team members from these stores will be offered alternative roles.” The retailer currently employs more than 52,000 people.
