Ghostbusters 4 trailer teaser arrives following Afterlife sequel title leak | Films | Entertainment

It’s been a couple of years since Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the official sequel to 1989’s Ghostbusters II, hit cinemas.

The third film and franchise reboot was helmed by Jason Reitman, the son of the late Ivan Reitman who directed the first two movies.

Now Jason returns with Ghostbusters 4 which has had its trailer teaser released by Sony Pictures today.

In the short clip, the Ghostbusters logo appears before freezing over, which corroborates with the rumoured subtitle Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

The first full trailer arrives tomorrow and given this tease landed at 4pm GMT, that’s probably around the time it’ll stream on social media this Wednesday.

Ghostbusters Afterlife took the action out of New York City to rural Oklahoma but the end credits scene saw Ernie Hudson’s Winston back in the Firehouse HQ.

It was here that the echo-containment unit used for storing captured ghosts began flashing red, teasing the sequel.

Untitled Ghostbusters 4 hits cinemas on March 29, 2024 with Afterlife’s returning cast.
