Kalondia began her video male-up tutorial by saying: “With six simple make-up applications, you’re going to see a difference in the ways your eyes look.”
Kalondia kept the left side of her face bare and only applied her tutorial on the right side of her face so that the viewer could see the difference her make-up tutorial had made.
For her first application, Kalondia put on eyelid primer. She said: “Always prime your eyelids. As we age our eyelids become thinner and it shows dark circles, red veins and this keeps it from happening.”

For her second step, Kalondia lined the top part of her eyebrows using an eyebrow brush and gel. Kalondia explained: “I’ve started lining my brows on the top hairs because it helps to lift what gravity is pulling down.”
After the top of the eyebrow has been filled, the make-up expert fills in the rest of her eyebrows with the remaining eyebrow gel from her brush. Kalondia said: “I just go back in with what’s left on my brush, so it gives a softer appearance. This tip really does make a difference.”
Kalondia’s next tip for younger-looking eyes is to use a matte eyeshadow. She stares straight-forward and directly into the camera, which was attracted to her make-up mirror.
She places her make-up brush on the centre of her eyelid. The make-up expert explained: “See what I am doing here. I looked straight into the mirror, and then I put a dot. That’s where I know where to put my matte eyeshadow.
“That opens up that crease quite a bit and see how I lift my eyebrow so that I do not get any kind of skipping motion.”
The make-up expert explained the method for putting on eyeshadow. She said: “I always take a darker colour and I make a sideways ‘V’ on the outside edge of my eye and that helps to open it up as well. Such an easy technique ladies, and pretty too.”
For those with smaller eyes, Kalondia has suggested also using a lighter eyeshadow shade as well as a second step. She took her eyeshadow brush and said: “Because I have tiny moveable eyelids, I always put a light colour and I go right into that socket because it really helps to open my eye up and that’s what we’re going for.”
For her final step, Kalondia had some advice for eyeliner. She said: “I’ll probably get flack for this one, but no black eyeliner on top of your lids.”
The make-up expert claimed you should only use black eyeliner in your waterline and not on your eyelid. She said: “Instead, tightline the waterline and underneath the lashes. Boy, does that make a difference.”
It#s was important to not use black eyeliner on your lash line as well well, she claims. Her final tip was to “use a brown eyeshadow instead. It really helps to soften the appearance.”
People in the comment section thanked Kalondia for her expert advice. One woman said the make-up look was “really pretty” as it was “not overdone”. Another user wrote: “I loved this, thank you for the detailed instructions!”
Another popular comment said: “Thank you! We need more tutorials for women our age, I love these videos.”
