On Twitter, he posted a picture of his meal prep and wrote: “Bulking. A day in the life. Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst… Becoming. Wolverine. Again.”
In 2017’s Logan, Hugh reportedly gained a massive 20kg of muscle by eating between 4,000 to 5,000 calories a day. This time, he’s eating even more.
Hugh’s meals included a 2,000-calorie dish of black bass, veggies, rice, and herb sauce as well as Patagonia salmon with potatoes and sauce, adding another 2,100 calories.
He also ate two chicken burgers with sweet potatoes for 1,000 calories each.

More of Hugh’s meals included grass-fed sirloins with noodles for another 1,1000 calories each.
All this brought his total to 8,300 calories, over three times the NHS guidelines, which suggest men should eat around 2,500 calories a day.
Fans were shocked at the amount of food. “Is that per day? Holy hell. So that’s how much I need to eat to get the body I want? My stomach would hate me,” one person commented.
Another wrote: “Can’t imagine trying to eat that much food, no matter how fantastic it looks #in Hugh we trust wolverine again.”
While preparing for the role, Hugh revealed his Wolverine training would be his only job for six months.
During an appearance on CNN and HBO Max’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? he said: “I’m not doing any other work. I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.”
