Kate Middleton news: Royal pays tribute to her children with hidden messages

Princess Kate is known worldwide as a fashion icon and is able to keep her children close to her heart through some adorable accessories while focusing on royal duties.

Kate has collected a series of necklaces over the years that pay tribute to her children Prince George, age 10, Princess Charlotte, age eight, and Prince Louis, age five.

Kate has shown that she supports small businesses after she was given a sweet tribute necklace of George, Charlotte and Louis by the jewellers All The Falling Stars.

All The Falling Stars is a local business from Galway, Ireland and Kate wore a gold three layered disc necklace worth £94 from the business during an official royal trip to the country in 2020. Jewellery designer Aisling O Brien has said she was “stunned” to see the Princess wearing her jewellery in front of the world media.

The website continued: “With this in mind, she chose to create an understated personalised piece, incorporating the initials of Kate’s three children, George, Charlotte and Louis.”

The Princess was also spotted wearing a gold pendant marked with the initials “G”, “C” and “L” in June 2021 while announcing her charity project the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, which supports the development of young children which is a cause the royal is very passionate about.

The necklace is a personalised midnight moon necklace by jewellery designer Daniella Draper, and is made using recycled gold and three diamonds and retails for £1, 300. Daniella Draper is from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire and stated she got her lucky break when model Kate Moss was first spotted wearing her bracelets and has since become a favourite jeweller of the Princess of Wales.

The Princess has shared that her mission is to combat poor mental health in early childhood, and believes the first five years of a child’s life can shape their adulthood. While launching the Royal Foundation, Kate shared a video of herself speaking about the project and wrote on Twitter: “Today I’m proud to be launching The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood — let’s embrace this golden opportunity to create a happier, more mentally healthy and more nurturing society.”

On Daniella Draper’s website, the description for the necklace reads: “The moon is universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. The phases of the moon symbolise immortality, eternity and enlightenment.”

Kate was spotted in a second necklace also by Daniella Draper that pays tribute to her children when she was seen wearing a £495 delicate gold chain which bears her children’s initials. The Princess wore the alphabet necklace while participating in a series of royal engagements in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2021.

Kate has been a champion of both children and mental health causes and has admitted that becoming a mother has been an “overwhelming experience” even for royalty.

In 2017, the Princess said: “Becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience, however, at times it has also been a huge challenge. Even for me, who has support at home that most mothers do not.

“Nothing can really prepare you for you the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother, it is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry—all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost.”
