Kids in Glass Houses announce UK tour – here’s where to get tickets | Music | Entertainment

Kids in Glass Houses fans have had a wild couple of weeks. Not only did the band just announce a reissue of their first album, Smart Casual, but they have now confirmed they are going on a UK tour later this year.

And the band are extremely excited about it. They said: “We really can’t wait to hit the road in October and return to some much-loved corners of the UK. We’ve missed being on stage and sharing that experience with our fans more than words can say, so we truly can’t wait to get back out there and see some familiar and, hopefully, new faces. It’s been too long.”

Kids in Glass Houses recently played Slam Dunk Festival where they lit up stages and proved they still have the power to put on a fantastic show. And things are going to get even wilder later this year when they play six shows throughout the country, beginning in Glasgow and ending in their hometown, Cardiff.

This tour has been brought together to celebrate their first album, which was originally released in 2008. The band’s singer Aled Phillips commented: “Writing, recording and touring Smart Casual was our John Hughes coming-of-age era and it’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years. Getting back together with the boys in a room and celebrating those songs that carry so much meaning for us has been such a privilege and it’s been so humbling reading and speaking to people who have an affinity to those songs.

“We’ve wanted to give the album a wider vinyl release for a long while and to have our very talented friend Romesh remix and remaster the album to celebrate 15 years has been an incredible bonus. I genuinely believe it sounds better than ever and I’m excited for everyone to hear a fresh perspective on it that enhances it.”

Tickets come out at the end of the week, but you can get presale tickets before then – here’s how to get involved.
