Queen Camilla, 75, has two children with her ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles – Tom Parker Bowles, 48, and Laura Lopes, 45.
Laura and Tom often attend royal events like weddings, funerals and most recently the Coronation of King Charles III.
The 45-year-old daughter of Queen Camilla often wears dresses that are nearly identical to her mother’s.
For instance, at The Order of the Garter in 2022, Laura wore a blue midi dress that looked almost identical to Camilla’s version from ME + Em.
In addition, at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018, Laura wore a turquoise animal print dress that was reminiscent of Queen Camilla’s range of turquoise dresses that she wears during her royal engagements.
Leroy Dawkins, a celebrity stylist exclusively spoke to Express.co.uk about Camilla and Laura’s similar tastes in fashion.
He said: “Queen Camilla’s daughter, Laura Lopes does dress very similar to her mum. I think she is probably taking the lead from her mother as to what to wear especially on formal occasions such as the Coronation.
“Her style could be described as very upper-class British, with side tilting hats and fascinators along with breezy dresses and pumps, summer overcoats over sheath dresses with pie crust collars and wide-brimmed hats – all of which are quite outdated.”
Mr Dawkins explained whether Laura should dress more in her age category as opposed to her 75-year-old mother’s.
He claimed: “In my opinion it would be nice to see Laura dress more for her age, with just a few years between herself (45) and Princess Kate (41) their styles are poles apart.
“Kate has taken some traditional royal style and made it her own, by making it current and very stylish. It would be nice to see Laura up her fashion game and dress younger.
“But in saying this, she technically is dressing in the upper-class woman’s uniform. Queen Camilla’s children (Tom and Laura) are not really in the limelight but they do make rare appearances and on these few occasions Laura should take advantage of it and shine.”
Mr Dawkins explained what Laura’s style symbolises: “Laura’s style could indicate that she wants to keep out of the spotlight. But her mother is now the Queen of England in the world’s most famous Royal Family, so this will be no easy feat.”
Josh Herbert, a stylist and founder of Captain Creps also spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk to explain Camilla and Laura’s similar tastes in fashion.
He said: “Laura definitely looks like she has the same stylist as her mother on many occasions – they often have outfits with similar skirt lengths and waistline tucks.
“Normally fairly muted colours and nothing that draws too much attention. Even their headwear is known to have been similar, making it seem almost intentional that they step out on the verge of twinning!”
In terms of Laura dressing more for her age, Mr Herbert commented: “Laura’s wardrobe isn’t one that you would typically expect of a lady in her 40s, it seems she is opting for an older woman’s style a bit prematurely… and it makes me wonder whether she will be having a blue rinse when she is in her 50’s!
“If you look at Princess Catherine’s fashion style (who is four years younger than Laura Lopes) she most certainly dresses in the timeless and classy way you would expect a royal to, but she manages to make it distinctive and elegant.
“Just because she is part of one of the most serious families in the world it hasn’t meant she has had to wear formal and uninspiring outfits.
“Laura’s taste in clothing definitely doesn’t put her in the fashion influencer industry – but that isn’t what she wants from life or her fame.
“Her choices are understated and on the verge of being unflattering… many of her outfits are pleasant and tasteful but nothing remarkable that stylists or the public would be interested in for her age group – may be part of her personal anti-PR strategy!”
