MCU ‘recasting Iron Man, Captain America and more after Avengers Secret Wars’ | Films | Entertainment

Since Avengers Endgame witnessed a farewell to Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America, the MCU has been struggling to follow up in quality and box office success.

Yet as the X-Men and Fantastic Four are set to join the Marvel franchise in Deadpool 3 and beyond via the multiverse, hopes are high of a return to those dizzying heights of the last decade.

All major narrative threads are leading up to the next Endgame-level event, Avengers Secret Wars.

The 2027 blockbuster is rumoured to see the likes of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man teaming up with variants of Downey Jr’s Tony Stark and Evans’ Cap in an ultimate multiverse mash-up.

By the sounds of it, these plans will top the size and scale of Endgame, but just where do they go after that?

One rumour that scoopers have been reporting is that the MCU will go through a soft reboot brought about by the multiverse-meddling events of Secret Wars.

And according to one respected leaker we’ll be seeing new actors playing much-loved retired characters from Iron Man and Captain America to Black Widow.

One fan asked Marvel scooper MyTimeToShineHello about the matter.

The fan asked: “What’s it looking like in regards to Secret Wars soft-rebooting the MCU? Can we expect to see new actors playing Tony, Steve and Natasha post-Secret Wars so we’ll finally be getting those characters in the same universe as the X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc?”

Scooper MyTimeToShineHello simply replied: “Yes to all of it.” How exciting!
