Meghan Markle, 42, wore a beautiful red velvet dress on Christmas Day in 2017, but it could barely be seen underneath her showstopping camel coat.
At the time, the Canadian retailer Club Monaco confirmed the former Suits star was wearing their £220 Tay dress for the festive occasion.
The rich jewel-toned burgundy wrap dress with tiered, ruffled sleeves ended just below the Duchess’s knees.
It also featured a plunging neckline, which was a rather daring choice for Christmas lunch with the royals.
Despite its beauty, Meghan has not worn this £220 dress since, meaning that fans have never got a proper look at the gown.
Meghan hid her velvet dress under her Sentaler Long Wide-Collar Alpaca Wrap Coat, which still retails for £1,386.
Its description reads: “This long wrap coat in luxurious baby alpaca has the SENTALER signature ribbed detail at the cuff and a wide collar that works in harmony with the longer length.
“The fit and flare vented hem keeps the femme feel of a sophisticated classic that will be worn season after season.”
The Duchess has worn this coat subsequently, including in 2019 at the WellChild Awards.
To accessorise, the mother of two wore Marks and Spencer Leather Stitch Detail Gloves in dark tan.
Their description said: “These leather gloves come in a wide range of colours to help you express your personal style with ease.
“Made from a quality leather composition, these women’s gloves are lined and are water repellent, keeping your hands warm and dry throughout wet wintery days.”
These gloves cost only £17.50, but they are unfortunately no longer available to purchase.
Meghan carried a Chloe “Pixie” bag for her first Christmas appearance at the Sandringham Estate.
Its description read: “Half-moon panels on the front offer a textural interplay of smooth and suede leather.
“The leather band with golden studs brings equestrian detail to enhance the bag’s feminine lines.”
For footwear, the Duchess of Sussex wore Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots in Nutmeg Suede.
