New Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes trailer released with Rachel Zegler | Films | Entertainment

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes takes inspiration from Suzanne Collins’ prequel novel bearing the same title.

According to Variety, the narrative delves into the life of a youthful Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) determined to restore his family’s renown.

As part of his journey, he is responsible for guiding District 12’s celebrated tribute, Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler).

As Coriolanus collaborates with Lucy for her survival in the Hunger Games, he grapples with a moral tug-of-war.

Rachel, of course, has seen her share of controversies in recent years.

Following her swift rise in Hollywood, the actor faced challenges, most notably when joining the DC Extended Universe. But controversy truly sparked with her slated role as Snow White.

Rachel’s open criticism of the classic Disney tale, particularly labeling the prince as a stalker and pointing out its outdated portrayal of women, raised eyebrows.

The upcoming Hunger Games prequel, meanwhile, showcases an impressive lineup of stars.

It features talents like Jason Schwartzman, taking on the role of Lucretious Flickerman, Peter Dinklage as the games’ visionary, and the exceptional Viola Davis, portraying Dr. Volumnia Gail, the chief architect of the 10th Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is set to hit the big screens on Nov. 17.
