It’s been a year and a half since Daniel Craig exploded himself out of the James Bond franchise.
As a result, EON Productions will be on the lookout for the seventh official 007 star in their first auditions for 18 years.
Rumours have abounded of the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson having secretly auditioned, but insiders often say it’s not the No 1 favourite who ends up with the role.
Whatever the case, speculation continues to be rife over just who could replace Craig.
And now one of the bookies’ favourites has dropped what a number of fans believe to be a massive hint at his casting in the most coveted role in Hollywood.

Bodyguard and Eternals star Richard Madden has posted a cryptic video with Stanley Tucci on their Instagram pages. The pair of actors are sat at a bar drinking what looks very much like a couple of dry vodka martinis, shaken not stirred, with a slice of lemon.
This is 007’s signature cocktail, also known as the Vesper, after Eva Green’s Bond girl in Casino Royale. In the clip, the two toast each other and take a sip of their respective drinks before an awkward silence ensues.
Madden then smirks at the camera and says: “Join us next week when we’ll have some dialogue!” In the comments, fans asked “Is that the new James Bond” and “New Bond and Q?!” Others responded with the likes of “actually that [would] be amazing”, “the martinis were a hint maybe?” and “Oh I hope so”.
It’s worth pointing out that both Madden and Tucci are co-stars in Prime Video’s new show Citadel Prime, which the video is most likely promoting. However, the Scottish actor remains a bookies’ favourite in the Bond odds at 14-1. And given he’s 36, he’s coming up on how old Craig was when he was cast which is certainly to his advantage.
