Next James Bond odds slashed in half on star gaining on Aaron Taylor-Johnson | Films | Entertainment

Aaron Taylor-Johnson may be the bookies’ favourite to be cast as the next James Bond after Daniel Craig.

However, the 33-year-old is now being gained on by Cillian Murphy after the latter won his first Oscar on Sunday evening for Oppenheimer.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Cillian Murphy has been well-backed in our next James Bond betting following his success at the Oscars in the Best Actor category. Many punters believe he will replace Daniel Craig as 007.”

At 47, the Irish actor may be too old to take up the Licence to Kill, but given his youthful complexion, who knows? Check out the full latest next Bod odds below.

2-1 Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 7-2 Henry Cavill, 4-1 James Norton, 5-1 Rege-Jean Page, 6-1 Cillian Murphy, 7-1 Tom Hardy, 8-1 Jack Lowden, 12-1 Paapa Essiedu, 14-1 Callum Turner, 16-1 Richard Madden, 16-1 Sope Dirisu, 18-1 Aidan Turner.

Given it’s been over two and half years since No Time To Die hit cinemas, our best bet is there will be a next Bond announcement in the latter half of 2024.
