Next James Bond odds – The three female stars in race to replace Daniel Craig | Films | Entertainment

Two years on since No Time To Die released in cinemas and speculation around who will be the next James Bond is rife.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the frontrunner with odds of 2-1, but did you know there are some women in the bookies’ race too?

Ian Fleming’s spy has only ever been male across the novels and movies, yet could that change?

Neil Roarty, betting expert and spokesperson for www.safebettingsites.com shared with GB News: “Of note in the latest Next James Bond betting is the recent entry of a selection of female stars to the market with Jodie Comer and Lupita Nyong’o now in the running alongside No Time To Die’s Lashana Lynch (33-1).”

As it stands both Comer and Nyong’o have odds of 40-1 behind Lynch, who played Agent 007 Nomi in No Time To Die.

Roarty added: “While both actresses remain longshots, the fact that they’ve joined Lynch in the conversation means the public are not ruling out a female actor becoming the new 007.”

Despite this, it seems very unlikely that the next Bond will be gender-swapped given comments by producer Barbara Broccoli.

Broccoli told Variety after the release of No Time To Die: “He can be of any colour, but he is male. I believe we should be creating new characters for women — strong female characters.

“I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that.”
