Ever since rumours of a secret meeting with Barbara Broccoli last year, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has pretty much been the favourite to be cast as the next James Bond.
According to Coral bookmakers, the Kraven the Hunter star currently has odds of 15-8, with Henry Cavill just behind him on 7-2 and James Norton in third on 4-1.
Take it all with a large grain of salt, but the latest is that rising star Damson Idris has had his odds slashed from 10-1 to 9-2 in the latest shake-up.
The 32-year-old is best known for crime drama Snowfall and Netflix’s Black Mirror.
Bond producer Michael G Wilson has said EON Productions are looking for an actor in his thirties, but Damson has tough competition with all the attention on Taylor-Johnson.
Coral’s full latest next Bond odds are as follows: 15-8 Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 7-2 Henry Cavill, 4-1 James Norton, 9-2 Damson Idris, 5-1 Rege-Jean Page, 6-1 Cillian Murphy, 7-1 Tom Hardy, 8-1 Jack Lowden, 12-1 Paapa Essiedu, 14-1 Callum Turner, 16-1 Richard Madden, 16-1 Sope Dirisu, 18-1 Aidan Turner
Meanwhile, the latest odds from Ladbrokes, who have Damson Idris on 9-2 as well, can be found here.
