Royal fans will be able to remember that the same rule seemingly applied when Prince George was younger.

Prince William and Harry also wore shorts as opposed to trousers in their first years.

So when will Prince Louis be allowed to wear a pair of trousers? According to William, the switch happens at age eight.

However, Prince George was spotted wearing shorts on the family’s 2018 Christmas card, when he would only have been six years old.
