Princess Anne was in Murrayfield, Edinburgh, on Saturday to give the Cuttitta Cup to the Scottish rugby team, who beat the Italians 26 points to 14. Anne is often at the Scotland rugby games as royal patron for the Scottish Rugby Union. Like her late mother, the royal has a strong affection for Scotland.
Princess Anne arrived at Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday, March 18, clad in tartan.
She often wears the print for Scottish rugby games, as well as for visits to the country.
The royal donned a navy blue tartan coat with a wide collar and buttons. The coat was a dark blue and the pattern a subtle light blue.
She paired this with a blue and yellow scarf that had been tucked underneath the coat’s collar.

This scarf was also tartan print and not too dissimilar to the second scarf Anne was wearing.
This latter scarf lay over her shoulders and was navy blue, dark green, yellow, and black.
Anne has worn this look before, specifically to watch Scotland play last month – this time against Wales.
The Scottish team went head-to-head against the Welsh at Murrayfield on Saturday, February 11, and the Princess Royal was once again in the stands.
Anne wore her navy blue tartan coat and her yellow and blue scarf – again tucked underneath her coat’s collar.
She also wore a pair of slim-fitting trousers and some black gloves. On her coat was a gold brooch, which she donned again for the Scotland and Italy game over the weekend.
The brooch was circular and seemed to have a golf ball-shaped adornment at its centre.
On Saturday, the royal’s hair was pinned back in its usual neat bun, and she sported a pair of dainty pearl earrings.

These were the earrings she wore to the Scotland v Wales match in February too.
The Princess Royal is known for re-wearing her outfits, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable fashion, as well as her understanding of budget.
Anne has been busy in recent days and was seen at Cheltenham Festival twice last week.
For the fourth and final day of the festival, on Friday, March 17, Anne showed up in a chic tartan skirt suit.
The royal’s jacket was navy blue with a red tartan print, featuring a folded collar and bright red buttons.
Her matching skirt was knee-length, which she had paired with knee-high black boots and no tights – or nude ones.
Anne wore a Fedora hat that was navy blue and felt, matching the rest of her outfit. It had a ribbon around its centre and pinned to it was a small, gold, horse-shaped brooch.
The royal has been seen wearing this brooch many times in the past, especially for horseracing events. It is a nostalgic piece as the Princess has owned it for decades.
