Princess Beatrice, 34, is likely to inherit lots of royal jewels given she is King Charles’s niece and ninth in line to the throne.
However, is likely that very few of these jewels will be earrings because the Princess of York’s ears remain unpierced.
At King Charles’s Coronation on May 6, Beatrice stepped out wearing Garrard Blaze pink sapphire, rubellite and pink opal hoop earrings in 18-carat rose gold.
These earrings cost a sensational £37,000 – but it is likely that the Princess paid even more to have the jewels modified to become clip-on earrings.
Their description says: “The Blaze pink hoop earrings introduce a new approach to a Garrard icon.

“Clusters of pink gemstones trace the oval silhouette, revealing an open space within, perfectly accentuating the eclectic mix of different cuts and shapes of sapphires, rubellites and pink opals.
“Blazing a bold and fearless look filled with confidence, purpose and beauty.
“The striking combinations of faceted and cabochon gemstones ignite in a riot of colour, masterfully inverting Garrard’s classical cluster motif.”
Beatrice doesn’t actually have her ears pierced and favours clip-on earrings when she wants to add an extra sparkle to her ensembles.
For instance, at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2022 she wore Sphinx earrings by Jennifer Gibson Jewellery, which are already clip-on jewels.
The “Vintage Feather Earrings” are crafted from silver-tone metal to create a dramatic feather-inspired design.
The brand says: “Clips-ons are so very popular especially if the earrings have weight. They sit so much better.”
On this occasion, Beatrice paired her earrings with a magnificent floral dress from The Vampire’s Wife.
Her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, does have her ears pierced so is able to wear lots of royal jewels.
For instance, at her wedding in 2018, her now-husband Jack Brooksbank bought the Princess a pair of emerald and diamond drop earrings that perfectly matched the emeralds in her tiara.
Featuring a 1.5 carat cabochon green emerald and seven round brilliant diamonds, the glamorous drop-style earrings were worth approximately £7,000, according to Steven Stone jewellery experts.
As Princess Beatrice does not have her ears pierced, she wore no earrings during her 2020 nuptials to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
