Princess Charlene emulates Princess Diana’s ‘elegant yet edgy’ style in Monaco

The Monaco royals are currently celebrating the centenary of the birth of Rainier III, who was the father of Albert II.

Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the inauguration of the sculpture walk in Monaco with her husband Prince Albert, their two children, and Princess Stephanie of Monaco.

Charlene looked beautiful in a cream two-piece suit, which she combined with a white top underneath. The Princess donned the Brunello Cucinelli Embellished Wide-Leg Trousers, with a price tag of £2,080, and the Brunello Cucinelli Sequin Lapels Blazer, retailing for £3,200.

The royal opted for a natural makeup look, but donned a pair of elegant diamond earrings for an added touch of glamour.

Claire Robinson, fashion expert and owner of Chic Happens boutique, commented on Charlene’s style and told Express.co.uk that the royal often emulates Princess Diana.

The expert opined that Princess Charlene has a “beautiful and individual sense of style” and a “signature way of embodying effortless modernity reflecting her individually elegant yet edgy style”.

“Princess Charlene has a unique and enduring style. She is consistently elegant and sexy, which is a hard balance to strike,” she commented.

Claire suggested that Charlene “certainly emulates so much of Princess Diana’s style. Yet, she is definitely a style icon in her own right”.

Charlene’s beige suit, for instance, is almost identical to the oversized outfit Diana wore in the 90s, which she also combined with a white T-shirt underneath.

“In the 11 years since she’s been a Princess, Charlene has never worn a bad outfit. She knows her own style and nails it every time,” the fashion expert added.

Charlene is also a fan of muted colours and phycologist expert Lee Chambers claimed that the Princess stays away from colourful outfits because soft shades may help her stay “grounded and settled”.

The expert explained that muted colours, “especially for someone who is known for a vibrant and expressive wardrobe, is usually a sign that they are searching for stability and safety”.

According to the expert, muted colours could help Princess Charlene “feel more grounded and settled”.

These shades, including brown and beige, promote “a more restful energy that can be beneficial when we are looking to heal or find some peace and serenity when we are facing adversity,” she told FEMAIL.
