Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie both gave birth to their first child in 2021, seven months apart from each other. Eugenie, who is currently pregnant with her second child, has shared many pictures of her son August Brooksbank with royal fans.
Princess Beatrice, on the other hand, has kept her daughter Sienna Mapelli Mozzi completely private.
Sandra Trew, a Parental Coach Director and the founder of Get Real Parental Coaching, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk to explain why the sisters have such different parenting styles.
She said: “Beatrice is very close with her sister Eugenie, but as mothers, they would display a sense of individuality based on their circumstances.
“With Princess Beatrice being a stepmother, she has an entirely different role to play than that of her sister. Wolfie was not in the public eye until a royal affair occurred, i.e. Platinum Jubilee Pageant.

“This alone tells you they have no intention of displaying their children like trophies for the world to see. Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoadro would have their children’s best interest to recede Wolfie and Sienna into the background.
“Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have only biological children, so the dynamics differ. They are happy to flaunt the children and show off their movements, so they can feel part of a community as much as possible by doing normal things besides appearing at royal engagements. Children are unaware of their status until they understand their social and community roles.”
The parenting coach gave some insight into whether Beatrice will be more comfortable sharing Sienna with the public as she gets older.
Sandra explained: “Princess Beatrice and her husband would want to treat their children equally as much as possible. However, they do not have all the say in parenting as Wolfie’s biological mother will always be involved.
“As for Sienna, they have kept her private for now; one could only assume they would want to keep it that way for as long as possible.
“With the parents having media exposure, they can understand how mentally distracting this could be for the children.
“As parents, rules, requests and boundaries are discovered and discussed before children come along, this makes the process easier for whatever type of parents they dream of being.
“Princess Beatrice and Eugenie are not working royals; they do not have that added pressure of being away from their children for too long.”

“Sienna is not old enough to understand social media, but her time will come. It will be up to the parents to manage how much she can share, given that they are a private family.”
Sandra explained whether or not Princess Eugenie sharing August frequently on social media is a sign of her wanting praise for her parenting.
She suggested: “Perhaps Eugenie does feel the need to feel wanted and to appear like everything is great on the outside.
“On the flip side, she could be so confident within herself, and as a mother, she is happy to share her children’s journeys and is transparent with her family’s life choices. Princess Eugenie may have her reasons for sharing, but it’s all about the content at the end of the day and how it makes her feel.”
