Queen and Adam Lambert – Brian May promises ‘lots of surprises’ in new videos | Music | Entertainment

It’s been over a year since Queen and Adam Lambert concluded their UK and Europe tour and now the band are heading Stateside for the first time this side of the pandemic.

Following London rehearsals, Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor and the singer are now in Baltimore setting up for their first show of two shows in the Maryland city this week.

Peddling away on an exercise bike in a new video posted on Instagram, the guitarist shared with fans: “What better way to start Day 1 ? A little bit of interval training. QUEEN and Adam and our magnificent production team are BACK in the USA with a new tour.

“We’ve been planning this for at least a year, and already did music rehearsals in the UK. Now for production rehearsals on site in Baltimore and ….

“Out on the Road for an intense 6 week campaign around the North Americas. This is what we do ! Bri.”

Sharing footage from their first concert venue of the tour, Sir Brian captioned another video: “Get ready !!! Here, deep in the bowels of Baltimore’s CFG Arena, we’re in the final 5 days of preparation of our new show. We have a LOT of surprises !!! It’s great to see this brilliant team spring once more into action – making our new dreams come to life. Not long now !!! Bri.”

The guitarist previously said of the US tour: “We’re still calling our show The Rhapsody Tour, but the content has evolved massively from when you last saw it. New toys, new takes, but all the hits and more.”

Lambert shared: “I consider it a beautiful twist of fate that I was put on a path that aligned me with Brian and Roger. I can’t wait to tour North America one more time alongside the two unbelievably talented legends that are Brian May and Roger Taylor.”

And Roger added: “Adam is certainly a real force on stage. It’s been nothing but a riotously funny and enjoyable journey with him. He is simply one of the best vocalists in the world – FACT!.”

According to a new statement: “Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning setlist celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like We Will Rock You, Don’t Stop Me Now, Radio Ga Ga, and Somebody To Love alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites.

“Featuring a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces, this sense-swamping extravaganza has been blowing critics and fans away the world over since its very first unveiling in North America in 2019.”
