Queen Letizia of Spain and her husband King Felipe attended the Miguel de Cervantes Prize of Hispanic Literature at the University of Alcala de Henares. The Queen of Spain wore a new pair of earrings for the occasion which cost £243.
The jewels are called “Day and Night” earrings. They were purchased from an up-and-coming style brand called Pepe Alba which is based in Madrid.
Their Instagram account only has 4.7k followers, which meant that Queen Letizia helped to shine a light on a new label as opposed to wearing a big name.
They retail for just £243 (or €275) and have the following description: “Gold rectangle earrings, square baroque cultured pearls and faceted prehnites.
“An earring to give colour and strength to day or night. Design by Luna Alba.”

Letizia paired her earrings with a dress which she has worn before – her Vogana “Nanda” dress in sage.
The Queen of Spain last wore this dress in October 2022 and it is unfortunately no longer in stock.
Its description previously said: “Green polka dot midi dress with cut out detail at sleeves.”
Letizia further accessorised with her Coreterno “Amor Che Tutto Move” 18K yellow gold ring, which she first debuted in January this year.
Since debuting the ring, Letizia has worn it during every appearance so far in 2023.
Its description says: “‘AMOR CHE TUTTO MOVE‘ (Love Moves Everything) is a quote inspired by the last line of Dante Alighieri’s greatest work ‘La Divina Commedia’ (A.D 1320).
“The inside message ‘AS LONG AS I’M EXISTING YOU WILL BE LOVED’ is inspired by an ancient English ballad from the Middle Ages. Solid 18k yellow gold ring.
“All our unique pieces are hand crafted in Rome by the hands of the finest Italian goldsmith masters, using the antique technique of the lost wax.”

This ring costs a whopping £951 (or €1,075) and Letizia wears the jewel on her index finger.
Finally, for footwear, Queen Letizia wore a pair of Carolina Herrera neutral leather slingback pumps, which were previously worn by her daughter Princess Leonor.
Leonor has owned these pumps since 2021 and now her mother has worn them for the first time.
Described as medium-heel pumps in leather, these shoes are unfortunately no longer in stock.
Instagram user @luxmeagainpreloved wrote: “Very pretty dress – lovely colour and style. The earrings are a perfect complement.
“Letizia is wearing lower heels more often these days (these look like 70) definitely more comfortable than 100 and up.”
Similarly, @teri_dost added: “Yes! This dress is amazing, so it’s really great to see Letizia re-wearing it!”
But one fan, @goosegirlenfys gave a mixed review, saying: “Soft colour, soft fabric, soft silhouette. It’s just perfect for spring. All I don’t like is the split sleeve, I never like them.”
