Queen Letizia of Spain and her husband King Felipe travelled to Cadiz, in Andalusia, southern Spain, to attend the Tempo De Luz concert. The monarch recycled her black midi dress from Hugo Boss featuring a stylish crochet detail around the neck which elevated her monochrome look.
Letizia combined the black dress with a chic clutch bag from Magrit and her black suede pumps from Aquazzura.
She styled her hair in an elegant low bun with a side parting and donned a pair of black diamond earrings from Spanish jewellery designer Tous.
Royal fans took to social media to praise Queen Letizia’s look and many said the outfit made her look younger.
Instagram user @luxagainpreloved said they “loved this dress” and added: “She’s so beautiful and gets better with age! A Queen who repeats her stunning, and most budget-friendly outfits and looks amazing!”

They added the Queen looked “incredibly fabulous” and that the “macrame/crochet” detail makes the dress even more sophisticated.
Social media user @redheadcgirl commented: “I like this. I swear she can make anything look good!”
Royal watcher @styledbybklyn said “this was such a fun dress” and @debradami added that Queen Letizia looked “divine”.
“Fabulous Letizia, queen of stylish recycling,” said @florence.pit and royal fan @rachelhlhannam agreed: “She looks absolutely amazing from top to toe. Stunning!”
Personal stylist and image coach Melissa Lund, however, warned that women should be careful when wearing black as the colour is not for everyone and can make people look older.
She explained that black can “pull the light away from your face and you’ll look tired and older”.
“Wearing colours that suit you” on the other hand, “can make you look years younger”.
Women in their 50s like Queen Letizia can definitely wear the shade, but the expert recommended that “if black or midnight blue suited you in your 30s you might decide that charcoal grey and navy are now the darkest colours in your palette”.

Style experts at Lookiero explained how to style a midi dress in your 40s and 50s to achieve a youthful look.
A midi dress is “perfect for women over 40 to add a sprinkling of brightness and dynamism to a look”, they said.
They warned women should “avoid printed midi dresses and choose instead one in a striking solid colour if you are looking to conceal an area of the body such as the tummy”, just like Queen Letizia did.
If the dress has front buttons, “don’t forget to undo the bottom two for a flattering effect on your legs”.
They explained that this gesture is “not only slimming but will also add a sensual touch to your look”, and finish off your outfit with a pair of high heels, they recommended.
Women in their 50s should “start to think about wearing some more formal and sophisticated outfits, appreciating the quality of the garments and, ultimately, choosing what suits you best,” the expert advised.
A safe bet is a satin slip dress to add luminosity and “is perfect to turn any look into a formal, sophisticated and elegant outfit”.
The stylists also recommended wearing a midi dress with espadrilles for a more casual approach, one of Queen Letizia’s favourite options in the summer months, or combining it with heels for a more sophisticated look.
