King Felipe and Queen Letizia accompanied Her Majesty Queen Sofía and their two daughters on a trip to the cinema last Thursday, August 10.
While the royal is known for her expansive wardrobe of elegant dresses, Letizia opted for a more off-duty look while watching the Barbie movie.
The 50-year-old Queen stepped out in a white relaxed-fit silk shirt and powder blue trousers in a matching fabric.
Both garments looked bold against her bronzed complexion and glossy brunette locks which she wore loosely down.
Royal fans loved the “easiness” of Letizia’s outfit, of which each item came with a high price tag.
The Spanish Queen wore the “TCN Silk Long-Sleeved Shirt”, 263 euros (£226), which is described as being made with a T-shirt collar and mother-of-pearl buttons.
Letizia opted for a trendy half-tucked look to shape her petite figure and add to the casual look of her silk outfit.
Her trousers look almost identical to the “Nicholas Neha Trouser” (£341), available at Modesens.
On the website, the garment is described as having a zip fly with hook and bar closure, a partially elastic waistband and cuffs, and a four-pocket design.
Complete with a sheen satin finish, the trousers are the perfect pairing to Letizia’s pearly white shirt.
The royal swapped her usual heeled shoes for a pair of understated flats, which were also a new addition to her wardrobe.
known as the “Ria Menorca Formentera Abarcas”, 74.95 euros (£64), the shoes are described as: “Stylish Menorcan avarcas in brown suede. The uppers have two tubular cross straps, making this an eye-catching model for any occasion.”
Letizia teamed the casual look with a large handbag that strayed from her go-to dainty clutches.
The white accessory was the “Ansa per Ansa Smooth Leather Gathered Bag”, 179 euros (£154). She also wore her “Coreterno Amor Che Tutto Move Ring”, which is a gold band engraved with the phrase “love moves everything”, crafted from solid 18k yellow gold.
Letizia’s eclectic mix of fabrics made for a statement outfit which bore some resemblance to Meghan Markle’s “off-duty” style.
On several occasions, the Duchess of Sussex has been seen wearing a similar shirt and trouser co-ord and a larger handbag.
