Reading and Leeds Festivals are about to start, but attendees have already begun losing their favourite artists.
The official R And L Twitter account (now known as “X”) recently posted some news about one of the major stars who was playing this weekend at the two festivals.
They wrote: “Unfortunately we have to announce that Trippie Redd is having to cancel his performances at both Reading and Leeds due to illness. We wish @trippieredd a speedy recovery.”
The American artist went on to release a statement of his own, adding: “I’m so sorry to announce that I can’t perform this weekend. I was really looking forward to coming to Reading & Leeds Festivals but due to illness I have to cancel my visit to the UK.”
He followed up with: “I hope to see you soon!”
Trippie Redd is best known for such tracks as Everything BoZ, Miss The Rage, Hurts Me and Death.
His previous album, 2021’s Trip at Knight, reached number two on the Billboard Hot 200.
He most recently released his fifth studio album, Mansion Musik, in January 20, 2023.
