Renée Zellweger is set to marry for a second time after splitting from her first husband in 2005.

The Bridget Jones star has told her close friends and family that she and her British boyfriend Ant Anstead, are set to marry following a low-key engagement, as per The Sun.

Ahead of Renee and the Wheeler Dealer star tying the knot the Daily Express have decided to look back at her wild romantic past, which includes the likes of Jim Carrey and Bradley Cooper to a whirlwind marriage.

Jim Carrey, from 1999-2000

Renee was first acquainted with Jim Carrey in 1999 when they met on the set of Me, Myself and Irene.

The pair went on to date for a year but sadly parted ways a year later in 2000.

Despite the brief length of their fling, Jim described the actress as the “great love of” his life in his 2020 semi-fictional book, Memoirs and Misinformation.

Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of his film Man on the Moon in 1999, director Bobby Farrelly said: “You could see that he really flipped for her.”

At the time of the romance, Renee told CNN: “I liked him, a lot, but you’re not going (to the set) for the love connection…When the picture wrapped, we’d spoken a couple of times on the phone and then all those rumours came out that I was dating him. I was so mad.”

After denying the rumours, she playfully added: “God, I do miss him,” and before their split, the actress proudly called their relationship “a very unexpected, wonderful thing”.

Jack White, from 2003-2004

After taking a three-year break from love, the Hollywood actress got lucky on set again, this time with rocker Jack White while filming Cold Mountain in 2003.

The reason for Jack being on the set was because he had been commissioned to write music for the movie, and had a small role playing her husband on screen.

The encounter with Jack, who is six years her junior, led to the pair dating for a year and a half.

Although the couple rarely spoke about their relationship, they made a public appearance together at the 2004 Oscars.

Following their split in 2004, the actress’ spokesman made it clear they ended on good terms, revealing in a statement: “They remain good friends. There’s no scandal and no new relationships.”

Kenny Chesney in 2005

Renee met her next beau, country music singer Kenny Chesney, at NBC’s Concert of Hope tsunami aid telethon in January, 2005.

A source told People that the actress was hopeful to meet the singer at the event, and pass him a flirty note, however when the “broadcast wrapped” up he saved Renee the trouble by walking up and saying to her: “I hear you are trying to pass me a note — don’t let the principal find out.”

“Here’s a country girl who’s still down to earth,” the singer said during an interview two years prior to their first meet. “That makes her really, really sexy. Plus she seems like the kind of girl who could fit in and be at home anywhere.”

Months after discovering their mutual crush on each other, Renee marked her territory by bringing him a margarita and planting a kiss on him at one of his concerts.

And after just three months of dating, they tied the knot on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, but unfortunately, their whirlwind romance came to an end four months later in September when Renee filed for divorce, citing “fraud” as the reason.

Both stars Both asked for privacy shortly after the news broke and never spoke of the marriage or separation.

Bradley Cooper, from 2009-2011

After realising finding love at a concert didn’t work out, Renee went back to doing what she knew best and yet again romance blossomed on the set of Case 39 in 2009.

Renee and Bradley Cooper seemingly connected instantly while shooting the horror movie, however, they both kept their relationship quiet until Bradley couldn’t help but sing her praises in an interview with ET in 2010.

“I just love her. I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her,” he gushed.

She similarly told the outlet that he is “a great, great actor” and admitted to also being “so excited” to get to “work with him”.

They took their relationship to the next level going on to move in together that same year but sadly broke up in 2011.

Doyle Bramhall II, from 2012- 2019

The Chicago actress then gave a childhood friend a chance, being that in the form of rocker Doyle Bramhall II, who she met during her time at the University of Texas in the early nineties.

Then in 2012, two years after ending his marriage to Susannah Melvoin, to give each other a try romantically.

Speaking of their blossoming romance in 2015, she expressed to People: “Isn’t he cute? He’s a very sweet man. I’m very, very happy right now.”

According to Radar Online, Doyle’s “jealousy issues” contributed to the end of their longtime relationship, with a source close to the star explaining: “She and Doyle built a happy home life together and they even discussed adopting a baby together”.

Sadly the pair “drifted apart emotionally when they were separated for weeks at a time” and weren’t “able to rekindle the spark.”

Ant Anstead, from 2021-present

Thankfully it appears Renee has finally found the one in the form of Wheeler Dealer Ant Anstead, who she initially met while filming an episode of his series Celebrity IOU Joyride in April of 2021.

Despite going through a difficult time grieving the loss of her publicist Nanci Ryder, Renee and Ant hit it off from the get-go.

The pair first met while filming the Discovery+ series Celebrity IOU Joyride and made their relationship Instagram official in September 2021.

A source close to the actress told People that she was “head over heels” for him and has “never been happier,” in a relationship.

“She thinks this is the real deal. She’s never been happier. They’re a great couple,” the insider added. ‘Sometimes two people just meet and click, and the timing is right.”

And it appears the couple are still going strong as sources have revealed they are now engaged.
