Sarah Ferguson promoted her new book, A Most Intriguing Lady, at the London Book Fair on Tuesday. The Duchess of York wore an entirely Gucci outfit for the occasion.
For her top, Fergie opted for a Gucci soft wool silk jacket which retails for a whopping £2,990.
The description reads: “Further exploring formalwear with an unconventional approach, the Spring Summer 2023 collection looks at the concept of tailoring with a new lens.
“The House reinterprets classic silhouettes, combining minimal jackets with cues from the 1990s, including lingerie inspirations, for an innovative update of the wardrobe.
“This structured silk jacket is presented in a soft wool silk fabric, characterised by a removable leather belt with contrasting metal buckle.”

The mother of two paired her Gucci top with a Gucci “Square G Chain Print Silk Skirt” which costs a sensational £1,350.
The description says: “This Gucci skirt is an ode to logomania. Crafted in Italy from pure silk, it’s patterned with a chain iteration of the Square G motif – a design that’s scattered with the Maison’s initial.”
The skirt is red with a black print embroidered into the silk fabric and also a black hemline, which she wore above her black boots.
Overall, Fergie’s Gucci outfit came to a total cost of £4,340, which is certainly on the higher end of the price scale for royal outfits.
“I don’t think, though, the heeled boots were the best choice. That’s the kind of skirt that begs for pumps or flat boots.”
However, @birdnerd327 was less impressed, saying: “The shirt is all wrong for the skirt. Separately they might be hits.”
Royal fan @deniseandherbuttons commented: “If her intention was to make her legs extra short, mission accomplished.”
Finally, @cattym63 said: “I like the items apart but not together.”
