Shoppers love ‘bargain’ M&S sandals that ‘look and feel like Birkenstocks’ for £50 less

M&S’ clothing and footwear ranges are becoming more and more trend-led, with fashion lovers picking up on affordable, stylish pieces.

A pair of sandals from retail giant M&S are being compared to shoes from the popular brand Birkenstock, with some calling them ‘very similar’ with the ‘same fit and look’.

Recently, M&S has often been featured in social media posts and online with items that shoppers are claiming as dupes for more expensive brands.

Many of the items have been bags, including the Faux Leather Cross Body Bag which has sold-out multiple times after being compared to a designer bag.

At £25, the M&S sandals are considerably cheaper, than the Birkenstock Arizona Two-strap sandals, which cost £75 and are the most similar-looking from the range.

The M&S sandals come in a choice of three different colours, white, green and silver, which are versatile and fun to wear with summer outfits.

The design features two straps with buckles and a flatform shape, and despite the affordable price tag, they are made of similar materials to the Birkenstock versions, with a combination of leather and cork.

The Insolia Flex technology aids with comfort while walking and ensures the foot is correctly placed and improves natural rotation of the ball of the foot.

With a slip-off design and comfort in mind, the sandals are handy for long, hot summer days, with the description stating that they are ‘designed to give all-day comfort’, however some reviews mention the sizing coming up large, so it is worth bearing this in mind when ordering.

Shoppers are reviewing the shoes, with over 400 people leaving their feedback on the M&S website.
