Eagles tickets will be released through Live Nation and Ticketmaster
The Eagles require no introduction. After selling more than 150 million albums worldwide, achieving six number-one albums, and earning six Grammy Awards since their inception in the 1970s, they are one of the most iconic bands of all time.
With that said, all good things must come to an end.
Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmit, Deacon Frey and Vince Gill have just confirmed the beginning of the end of the Eagles’ journey as a rock band.
The Los Angeles rockers will be embarking on The Long Goodbye Tour later this year, and they are doing it in style.
The band have just announced an enormous residency slot in the UK’s Manchester this summer to bring their relationship with Great Britain to an end.
They’ll be residing in the city’s Co-Op Live Arena in May and June of this year, before playing Arnhem’s GelreDome in The Netherlands.
Speaking about bringing their 50+ year legacy to an end, The Eagles said: “Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle.
“Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

Steely Dan and the Eagles during the farewell tour
The Eagles farewell statement in full
The Eagles released a lengthy farewell statement to their fans to explain why they will be bringing their legacy to a resounding close.
While the comments are sad about the end, they are hopeful they’ll see their biggest fans soon.
Here’s the full statement from the band:
“The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle. The official farewell tour is currently underway. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round. So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”
They concluded: “With love and gratitude, The Eagles.”
The Eagles will play four shows
Who is supporting Eagles on their UK Residency?
The Eagles will be supported by one very special guest at their four residency shows kicking off this summer.
The band will be joined by Steely Dan, the American rock band founded in 1971 by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen.
Renowned for their tracks Reelin In The Years, Do It Again and Hey Nineteen, Eagles fans will no doubt adore seeing these legendary musicians hit Manchester and Arnhem stages this summer.
