The Duchess of Sussex is renowned for her enviable purse collection, but she often gravitated towards pieces from the same designer to complete her look during royal duties.
Of all her bags, which include pieces from Gucci and Stella McCartney, Meghan Markle appeared to have an unwavering preference for her Gabriela Hearst’s Demi clutch.
Crafted from Italian satin, the Demi clutch is the smaller version of the Italian-made Nina Tote, listed for an eye-watering $2,800 (£2,251) on the designer’s website.
Both carriers are shaped like a fortune cookie, offset with a single loop strap with two gold hoops at each end that complements a turn lock closure.
Experts have previously described the fashion statement item as a message that the Duchess adopts an eco-friendly approach to fashion.

Since Marrying Prince Harry in 2018, the Duchess has often sported bags with top handles and a youthful style, explained style expert Susie Nelson, founder of Modes and More, in a previous conversation with Express.co.uk.
Nelson explained: “A clutch bag is a class but can appear dated. Top handle bags are more youthful and stylish, plus it is easier to access things out of a top handle handbag.”
The Demi clutch matched effortlessly with several of Meghan’s outfits, including the stunning green ensemble she chose for the Commonwealth Day Service before stepping back from royal duties in 2020.
Gabriela Hearst, creative director of the fashion house Chloé, produces a limited number of the Demi and Nina bags, in keeping with her sustainability goals and values.
Meghan has been seen wearing the smaller of two clutches in emerald green as well as a tan-coloured version of the Nina bag, made of leather, available in a rainbow of colours.
The Nina and the Demi can be purchased for Gabriela Hearst’s flagship stores in New York and London, or are available by special order.
